A Helping Hand This Summer
May 31 marked the Tenth Annual Breast Cancer (ABC) Fundraiser, and a fantastic evening of fun, good food, good friends, and terrific dancing was
enjoyed by all. This event may have been the last of the ABC Fundraiser series. We would like to thank everyone who supported our decade-long celebration of freedom from breast cancer for Christy Coté, who continues to enjoy the best of health. But it’s not too late to donate to the cause – we have
raised about $8,500 so far this year,
making our 10-year total around $87,800. Our wonderful teachers
donated private lessons to the highest bidder and well-wishers donated several material items for our silent auction, both of which raised around $1,000. If you can spare a small donation of any size, please get it to the Ballroom as soon as possible. We will be presenting checks to the “Breast Cancer Fund” and “Friends of Faith” on Saturday, July 19.
On Saturday, July 12, after the Third Annual Summer Showcase in the afternoon, we will be kicking off a fundraiser at 6:00 PM to benefit the China Sichuan Province Earthquake Relief Fund. Please come for a fun-filled evening of dancing to live band music with food and refreshments and a short Argentine Tango lesson at 7:30 PM. All proceeds will be donated to help those now suffering in China.
We have many blessings living in California - please spare a thought and a few dollars for those less fortunate.See you on the dance floor!
